Thoughts
As promised, i'll update on what has been happening this week. Ms Julia's not gonna be with us anymore as PROP module is over. She'll be concentrating on her work at her childcare center. It has been a great experience with her ,discovering more about professionalism in this field.Tuesday lecture with Ms Julia ended off nicely with the recollection of nursery songs that she once taught us from the very first day we met.It has always been nice to attend Ms Julia's lessons with the enlightenment of her experiences& encounters, and not forgetting her singing of the nursery songs.Thank you Ms Julia! This week has been good, with the very first class outing to Seoul Garden on Wednesday night! There was a special promotion known as Ladies Night, and there is a 50% discount for the buffet. So Cindy proposed for a class outing, and since there's no school on Wednesday because of e-elearning, most of them agree to the plan. We headed to marina square since it's centralized and convenient for everyone. We met at 630pm,and it was delayed to 730 when we finally settled down.Mr Timothy dropped by with her daughter as he promised that he'll visit us with her daughter. And her daughter was simply so cute and adorable!Apart from this, though not everyone was present, it was still great to have more than half of the class attending. It was an enjoyable time at Seoul garden, chatting and laughing with one another.:) I realized i am a glutton, eating so much! My classmates all have such small appetite, even for shaun, and i feel so gigantic among them. Weiling, cindy and me were laughing that we will probably have to bid goodbye to them as we were still filling our stomach when all of them are full with their desserts. After the buffet, we went to the nearby field area to cam whore. I didn't know that our class loves to take photo so much as we can literally take random shots at anywhere and at any point of time. Our last photo never seem to end even when we reaches the Mrt platform, and even then we are still taking photos with eyes staring at us wondering if we are some tourists. It was a fun ladies night with the class, including shaun, the only guy in the class.Initially he didn't want to come as it was meant for ladies to get the discount. Poor thing, he has to pay full for the buffet and he ate just too little. This week so far so good, except for something that should be pondered upon. REFLECTION,THINKING,THOUGHTS............................................................

Coming to an end.
 The reason to smile
Haven't been updating the blog since a while as i'm preoccupied with projects and assignments. Finally i can take a breather now, because i can officially declare that i am free from all this hectic work. But on the other side,it means that examinations are around the corner.Even though there's only two examinable modules, but both of them are challenging enough for me to manage with. These two modules are so theory-based with so many concepts to master with.I am particularly worried for DPL as Dr Karuna mentioned that, with comparison to the previous class test ,the actual exam is going to be 3 times harder than the test.Fyi,i did not do really well for my class test. AAHHHHHH!
Oh man, let's just cast aside from studies!YAY,there are few significant event(s) that took place last week. Last Friday, (we),which includes Jinyan,Eirene and Me,held an advanced birthday celebration for our dearest friend.SHE is none other than Esther, whose birthday falls on the 26th July.Initially, we are supposed to meet at 130pm, but then it was delayed to 2.I thought lesson on that day will end early, but i was only dimissed at 1pm.it was way too rushing for me then, as i have to rush back home to take the photoboard ,which was meant for esther's bday present. At last ,we managed to settle ourselves down at around 3plus.Despite the delay,it was still great to have everyone present:) To celebrate Esther's birthday,i thought of a plan, not very fantastic, but hoping to give her a birthday surprise.I told Jinyan the plan of luring Esther away to the toilet when i was about to reach seoul garden.Thankfully, both of them went to the toilet when i reached the place.Supposedly, when both of them came back, the cake was to be readily lit up,followed by the singing of the birthday song, but the plan kind of fail. The reason was because that lighter failed to cooperate with us.ARGH! Esther even wanted to light up her own cake, but it would be really pathetic for her if we were to allow her to do so. Luckily, when Jinyan tried to light up,the lighter works :) After which, we proceed to enjoy our buffet for the 2 hours or so. Even though, the celebration doesn't caught Esther by surprise as she already suspected when i asked for her chinese name and fav.cartoon characters etc ....,but hope that she've enjoyed herself.
The day after, went toNDP preview (NE SHOW 3) with Rachel at Marina Float. All thanks to Candice for allowing us to enjoy this privilege. The place was so crowded with people wearing red. We proceed to our color zone (blue zone) and settled ourselves down even before the expected time which was 545pm. The sun was scorching hot and people were seen carrying umbrella on their hands.Luckily, the show started promptly in a short while. This year, the celebration was carried out by chapters-based,narrating the founding of Singapore to the present of Singapore. The main highlight of the show which i feel was only when the parachutists landed down and the marching component.Rachel and me was not really focused on the show throughout, and in the mids, we were way too busy in snapping photos of ourselves. So much fun laughing with her on random stuff. Oh and so,the show lasted for 2 hour or so,and it was great to be in the atmosphere where u can sense yourself being so proud to celebrate your very own nation's birthday. The feeling is totally unlike when you are catching the show on tv,where u cant experience the fun.
My weekends are spent meaningfully with the follow up of the children walkathon held at Chinese garden. It was fortunate for me as the venue of the activity was near to my house, unlike my two other friends who needed to spend much time traveling down. The walkathon was meant to help raise funds for needy children, and the three of us have so much fun! We were busy in recalling when was the last time we once exercised?HAHA.It was good to start off a sunday morning with a morning stroll with children, parents etc. It seems like a family gathering event, with some food and games carnival going on.After the walk, we went to take a look at the carnival. There were drinks, food ,games etc.. but none appeals to us because of the hot weather. And because of our cravings for Mac breakfast, we decided to head to JP for the sake of it. Sad to say , the moment we reached, there was already no breakfast. We bought the set meal without either the student meal or the mac value lunch since it's weekend.Hoping to burn some fats after the walk, but in the end,i think i gain more weight by consuming fast food. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Revolving around PROJECTS!

The first combination of photos were taken in school, @ the library. During the break, we managed to snap some photos.HAHA :) Oh, besides torturing ourselves with projects, we went to sakae sushi @ marina square last wed. The purpose was to do projects, but also to distress ourselves by enjoying FOOD! Life revolving around projects is torturing. But i believe there's still way to distress and make myself happy. For instance, meeting garrulous girls on friday evening/night is awesome. An absolute way to forget all the hectic work happening in school. Fridays is LOVE ! Initially, this very Friday of the week does not seem to be a happy one, but they still managed to create laughter& cheer me up. I simply agree with candice, that eating ice-cream can make one happy as we really went practically crazy, laughing like nobody business.

The smiles that brightens Diminishes the slightest sadness Make the word happy sounds alive again. AND I simply love what Huiyun shared with us. It goes like this :
I believe in angels, The kind that heaven sends, I am surrounded by angels, But I call them friends.
Friends will come and friends will go, The seasons change and it will show, I will age and so will you, But our friendship stays, strong and true
I agree that friends are angels around us for they are always besides us,supporting and guiding us.So much true that friends come and go as you move on to the different stages of your life. And yes, it is a seasonal thing that changes when it is time to.True enough, you determine and keep those who stay dear to your heart.

This is our end product for the poster design. These are posters meant to educate children on the safety and hygiene when they are engaged in a dough play.We spent two sessions doing the poster and finally done with it. Only the video was not ready yet, otherwise we are done with our CHSE safety&hygiene project. We are still arranging time to meet up with PEE,DPL AND WRICOM projects! Time is very precious to manage everything. I'm currently also cracking my brains to think of the poster design for CHSE individual project.which aspects should i focus on ? SAFETY/NUTRITION/HEALTH of children?

DOUGH PLAY
 Dough play during PEE lesson!
Today school as usual.Friends are complaining of having school today, despite it's youth day.Ms Julia was finally back from LOA after being quarantined for a week to Perth. She shared about her trip to Perth and from the story that she've shared,i do feel a tinge of sadness for little boy who wasn't even qualified to be admitted to a special school. He was unable to meet the given criteria for his IQ is less than 90.It's kinda sad, and so the more i want to help special needs children.Ms Julia went through the slides that she posted on MEL ( mobile e-learning) with us.After which, we carried out with two activities that required teamwork. Yes, teamwork is important in early childhood sector, where we need to give ,be it a helping hand or moral support to one another. Not only that, i believe that teamwork is essential in every aspects in life. We do need people to support us to achieve a greater height yeah:) After prop was PEE lesson. It was the very first time the lesson gets so interesting, with the making of play dough. Thanks to cindy& weiling for remembering to bring the required ingredients for making the dough.Everyone had fun making the play dough using plain flour with cream of tartar and food coloring. The best part is when we use corn flour in replacement of the plain flour to make 'GOOP'.'GOOP' gives a wet and sticky feeling, and it has an unpleasant odor with the strong smell of flour.Ultimately, the purpose of dough play is to learn about the development of the children when they are engaged in it. Last lesson was CHSE,and finally got back the test paper. I did okay for it thankfully. :) i loathe this week because friday ends late :(

Cycling +Parkway Parade
The random SMS sent to Esther on thursday settled our outing venue today.it was to East Coast Park for a cycling session:) the weather was fine&sunny when we reached bedok, and that caused my dear friend to complain about not wearing a sleeveless shirt for 'sun-tanning'.we settled our mini lunch at bedok, and i was the one who queue for the food. Coming to this, i made a fool out of myself as i go to the wrong stall - the stall besides the actual one.Probably because of the lack of sleep that cause my eyesight to be so blurry that i actually went to the wrong stall. Soon after we finished our food, we headed to East Coast via the underpass. The underpass was dark and isolated,so walking alone can be pretty scary. That i must commend rachel for she dare to walk the underpass alone,as she left earlier for her ECP outing to meet us girls yesterday! :) After doing some walking,we went to rent our bikes. The fine weather turns nasty with a small drizzle then a heavy downpour. We went to a nearby shelter, and protect ourselves from the rain.As the rain turns into a drizzle again, we continued to cycle. The rain was unpredictable, coming as drizzle and heavy raindrops as and when it likes to. nevermind, we persist to our destination to changi.I can tell you that my white shirt actually turns black with patches of mud stains. But it was fun cycling with the route empty without people, and there wasnt a need to excuse myself with the ringing of the bicycle bell :) we managed to cycle back and fro just nice on time! I feel so accomplished yeah! after cycling, we went to parkway parade to explore since we've never been there. We thought that the bus stop which Eirene lead us to during the last ECP trip can allow us to go to parkway. After knowing the directory, we made a u-turn back to the bus stop which is much nearer, located at chij convent there.Being foreign again, we alighted at the wrong bus-stop! :/ we took bus back again and finally reached parkway.Judging from the outer appearance of the shopping mall, we perceive that the mall was rather boring. But when we stepped in, we realized that our judgment is wrong as the mall was quite big with many shops.Had dinner at the market nearby and took shutter bus back to bedok.( typical Singaporean right). You know what, the atmosphere of the bus can really make me sleep with the soothing cum 'new-year-based" music. the fatigue and the aching of my legs really make me feel "rooted" to the ground , not wanting to get off my seats.
It was a fun yet tiring day!:) okay, have to touch on my assignments tommorrow! :)

It's amazing that i actually blog like almost everyday right? Last time when i do have a blog,I'll not keep my blog updated so frequently. But now, i dont know why i seem to blog so often.HAHA.Oh yeah, the above photo was taken at Eirene's church last Saturday. :) Today was lectures all the way to 3pm.PEE Lecture was really driving me to doze off at anytime. But DPL was fun, always so enjoyable as the way Dr.Karuna conducted her lesson was really making everyone laughing like non-stop! Her jokes are really hilarious, that made everyone energetic for her lecture. The topic covered today was pretty interesting that captivates my interest. It's the topic on Brain development& learning. As usual, a lot of very profound terminology, but i still find this module very much interesting compared to the rest.Wricom lecture always end fast and that's good! Was dismissed at 3pm today& went to meet Rachel at starbucks afterthat. West coast park trip tommorrow for some observation! Gonna be in school early tomorrow! Tadaaaaaaaa.:)

I've found something to entertain myself, with regards to stress management.Stress comes from none other than the assignments&projects! I'd just mentioned on the previous entry that i was feeling a bit more relaxed. But that ' a bit' seems to vanish off unknowingly because we're assigned with Wricom and DPL work.Dr.Karuna just throw us a group project today, and she gave a short briefing on what she expected. It seems manageable, but when you get your hands on it,it's gonna be so tedious!(SCREAMS!) okay,i can't deny that poly's all about projects, projects& still projects! Wednesday(s) is the best day of the week! But,it doesn't seem to be one soon,as we'll be using the free time after school for project discussion.Wednesday(s) soon gonna be a day for group discussion as it's one of the day where we are dismissed early. And true, the four of us went to do our CHSE project in the library. We spent quite a few good hours, and finally done with almost one of the components of the project. We're left with PART TWO- the video clip.
PROJECTS on hand CHSE- Safety&Hygiene Project WRICOM- Report Writing DPL- Running Records&Observation
ever since,I've been snacking on late hours.ARGHHHH! faster get over &done with ! :{ I so looking forward to weekends!
